SAC
What is SAC?
The purpose of School Accountability Committee (SAC) is to inform, encourage, and provide opportunities for parent and community members to be involved in the planning and evaluation of the school instructional program and quality improvement processes. Each public school in the district is required to have SAC representation, reporting to the District Accountability Committee, who, in turn, reports to the Board of Education.
The SAC is a committee created by a Colorado State Statue in the 1970's. SAC Responsibilities Click Here

District Accountability Committee
The District Accountability Committee (DAC) meets monthly throughout the year and makes recommendations to the Douglas County School District Board of Education regarding spending district money, charter school applications, improvement plans and parent engagement plans. The committee's members also make recommendations for areas and issues for study, as well as teacher and principal assessment tools. DAC values ongoing feedback from each school’s SAC and provides information back to the SAC to be shared with each school community.
