Mrs. Stucky

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Stucky

My name is Jena Stucky and I have been an educator for 20 years.  I am a native of the Florida Gulf Coast where I was raised by a Native American father and an American mother who believed that having a great education was the best achievement in life.  As the only child of a Seminole Indian squaw to graduate from high school, my dad instilled in me a deep love of learning and the desire to work hard and be a force in the earth that made a difference.

Living on the Gulf Coast in a town that was called The Cradle of Naval Aviation, I became an elementary teacher. It was there that I met a Flight Officer named Matt.  We fell in love, left the Gulf Coast and moved to his native home of Colorado and my story continued.

When we moved to Colorado, we decided to start a family and I made the hard, but right decision to take a break from education and focus on the family that I was destined to be the mother of.  After three amazing children, Anna who is now 20 and a junior at CU Denver, Claire a pre-med major Iowa University and Adrian, a junior at Cherry Creek high school, our lives are full.  Our two amazing dogs, Duke and Shadow,  give the word mutt, kingdom status,  We are currently gutting and remodeling an old 1970"s tract home in our spare time.  What was I thinking??!!???  Not sure.  I know that I love to ski the slopes of Crested Butte, to float the waves of the Gulf of Mexico on the shores of my native Perdido Key Florida and somewhere in between, I just enjoy cooking in my humble kitchen for the family and friends that I cherish in Colorado.  Always, I prize the countless hours I get to love on the students that are in my care each and every day.  I am truly a blessed individual.
