A speech-language pathologists (SLP) works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication in children and adults. At Larkspur Elementary, most often, I work with students who have or are at risk for having difficulties in these areas of:
- Speech articulation
- Fluency/stuttering
- Receptive language (understanding language)
- Expressive language (sharing of thoughts/ideas through spoken words/writing)
- Social communication
